Life as we know it

So, we have an election coming up in UK and no one can predict the outcome.....some interesting times ahead.
Well let's believe in a positive outcome and make it work.
I am convinced that if we each do our own bit to contribute, life will move along OK......just remember, if you don't vote you can't complain!

Friendship

Is friendship a commodity? Do we gain by adding many people to our circle or list of "friends"? What is a true friend? I have found some on here; people who care to know about me and share some of themselves too; people who ask the deeper and more meaningful questions about how I am and what is going on in my life.

I hope I do the same for them.

As we are in the last month of 2009 it is a time to look back and reflect upon what we have achieved and what goals have come to fruition. What could we / should we have done differently? How much commitment did we truly give to our goals or how much did we just drift along allowing "fate" to determine the outcome? As an astrologer friend of mine would say: "the astrology may say it CAN happen but it's up to you to MAKE it happen".

So, what are your thoughts for 2010? Do you have plans and goals? Will your new year resolutions wither and die in the first few days of January? Let your friends help you....though sadly some may hinder because they "know what's best for you"....mmmm. Sometimes talking with one who doesn't know you may help.

Enjoy these last few weeks of 2009 and have a great time around Christmas and New Year. For those who do not celebrate Christmas and for whom January 1 2010 does not really start a New Year, be happy and reflect anyway.....there is no better time than now to determine what you see as your future.

Blessings and best wishes.

Michael Jackson

We will all have memories of Michael Jackson and his music; from his childhood days as part of the Jackson 5 through his genius years such as Thriller and his troubled years.

He won't be the first genius to be a troubled person; Lewis carol, Woddy Allen or from music, Karen Carpenter, Marc Bolan, Jimi Hendrix and Elvis Presley to name but a few.

Let us remember him for his talent, for the joy he has brought to millions over many years. I was truly sad when I woke and heard the news today; his music was just so "telling". 'Earth Song' will be a particular favourite of mine for all time.

Tell the ones you love how much you love them, tell them they are beautiful, celebrate their successes; treasure them....Michael lacked that and so, for all his genius he had great sadness in his life, but he brought great joy.

Reflect happily upon good memories of Michael.

Bob

Bob works hard at the office but spends two nights each week bowling, and
plays golf every Saturday. His wife thinks he's pushing himself too
hard, so for his birthday she takes him to a local strip club.

The doorman at the club greets them and says, 'Hey, Bob! How ya doin?'
His wife is puzzled and asks if he's been to this club before. 'Oh no,'
says Bob. 'He's in my bowling league.'

When they are seated, a waitress asks Bob if he'd like his usual and
brings over a Budweiser. His wife is becoming increasingly uncomfortable
and says, 'How did she know that you drink Budweiser?' 'I recognize her,
she's the waitress from the golf club. I always have a Bud at the end of
the 1st nine, honey.'

A stripper then comes over to their table, throws her arms around Bob,
starts to rub herself all over him and says, 'Hi Bobby. Want your usual
table dance, big boy?'

Bob's wife, now furious, grabs her purse and storms out of the club. Bob
follows and spots her getting into a cab. Before she can slam the door,
he jumps in beside her. Bob tries desperately to explain how the
stripper must have mistaken him for someone else, but his wife is having
none of it. She is screaming at him at the top of her lungs, calling him
every 4 letter word in the book. The cabby turns around and says, 'Geez
Bob, you picked up a real bitch this time.'

Bob's funeral will be on Friday.
